Job summary

Banner Health's Ogallala Community Hospital seeks an Emergency Department Tech to support inpatient and ED care. Work includes two 12-hour shifts per week, 5am-5pm and 5pm-5am, with CNA licensure required in NE.

You will assist health care providers, perform ECGs, wound care, and specimen collection, while maintaining patient records and ensuring a safe environment in a busy ED setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification required.
• EMT-B or higher with state licensure or CNA in NE is required for new hires and transfers.
• In Colorado: EMT-B or higher with licensure or state certification.
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities are essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform ECG testing, wound care, vital signs, specimen collection and patient transports.
• Assist with exams and minor procedures under supervision.
• Conduct point-of-care testing and quality control where permitted.
• Document patient information and updates to care team in the chart.
• Maintain supply levels and assist with department coordination and training.
