Job summary

Oldcastle APG, Inc. in Morris, IL is seeking a maintenance technician responsible for preventive maintenance and repair of plant equipment. The role works 7:30pm to 6am with potential overtime.

You will perform repairs, install components, and troubleshoot machines to keep operations running safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience, strong mechanical aptitude, CMMS knowledge, and the ability to read manuals and use hand and power tools.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in maintenance or manufacturing.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and interpret instructions and manuals.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic electricity.
• Familiarity with CMMS systems.
• Ability to lift up to 80 lbs and work in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform general repairs and preventative maintenance to plant structures.
• Install, adjust, and repair production equipment, and machines.
• Test, troubleshoot, and repair malfunctioning machinery.
• Install electrical components and test for proper operation.
• Disassemble equipment to access defective parts.
• Mig/Stick welding and light machining as required.
• Operate hand and power tools for maintenance tasks.
• Keep work area clean and safe.
• Collaborate with mobile mechanics as needed.
• Support other duties as required.
