Job summary

HonorHealth is seeking a part-time EEG Technician to perform standard and complex EEG procedures across multiple Phoenix locations, using the International 10-20 placement system. The role requires accuracy in impedance checks, machine calibration, and recording responses to stimuli while ensuring patient safety and family communication.

The candidate will handle activation procedures like hyperventilation and sleep, maintain equipment, and interpret data with a focus on patient age-appropriate

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an 11-month EEG training program or 6 months on-the-job training required.
• Graduate of an EEG program or 12 months on-the-job training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs standard and complex EEGs using the 10-20 system.
• Measures electrode impedance, calibrates EEG machine.
• Obtains recordings with activation procedures (hyperventilation, photic stimulation, sleep).
• Maintains equipment and inventories.
• Detects instrument issues and reports major repairs.
• Records responses to visual, auditory, or somatosensory stimuli with evoked response equipment.
• Explains procedures to patient and family; ensures patient safety.
