Job summary

HonorHealth is seeking an EEG Technician to perform standard and complex EEG procedures across multiple Phoenix-area locations. You will apply electrodes using the 10-20 system, monitor impedance, and conduct activating procedures to obtain high-quality EEG recordings.

You will also maintain equipment, manage supplies, and respond to seizures or emergencies while documenting clinical observations for patient care and charted history.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an EEG training program of 11 months or 6 months on the job training.
• Graduate of an EEG program or 12 months on-the-job training preferred.
• Technical diploma/degree in EEG or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs standard and complex EEGs using the 10-20 system and applies electrodes to appropriate positions.
• Measures impedance, calibrates, and adjusts EEG machinery; obtains recordings with activation procedures.
• Maintains equipment and inventory; reports major repairs as needed.
• Records evoked potentials and interprets signals with consideration of artifacts and anesthetic effects.
• Provides patient care during seizures and other emergencies; communicates findings and observations.
