Harrison Memorial Hospital in Cynthiana, Kentucky, seeks a Charge Nurse for the Emergency Department night shift. The role provides shift-based leadership, clinical guidance, and operational oversight to ensure high-quality patient care and staff support.

The Charge Nurse coordinates assignments, mentors staff, and ensures compliance with Joint Commission standards while collaborating with physicians and hospital leadership. This is a full-time position reporting to the Department Manager.

Qualifikationen

• Associate’s degree in nursing required.
• Active RN license issued through KBN required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• TNCC within 1 year of hire; NIHSS within 3 months; PALS within 3 months.

Aufgaben

• Assign and adjust patient care based on acuity, staffing, and staff competency.
• Serve as clinical resource and mentor for nursing staff.
• Ensure adherence to hospital policies, procedures, and accreditation standards.
• Monitor quality of care and patient safety, escalating issues as needed.
• Facilitate communication between physicians, nurses, and families.
• Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges to ensure safe patient flow.
• Oversee documentation in the EHR for accuracy and compliance.
