Job summary

Baptist Health in New Albany, Indiana is seeking a Charge Nurse for the Emergency Department. This full-time position requires working 36 hours a week, primarily on nights (7P-7A), with occasional weekends and holidays. The ideal candidate will provide leadership to nursing staff while delivering direct patient care.

Qualifications

• Current Indiana or compact state RN license or graduate of approved nursing program.
• BLS for healthcare provider required.
• ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications required within specified periods.
• One year of nursing experience required; experience in specialty preferred.

Responsibilities

• Act as a resource nurse for the department.
• Coordinate care on designated shifts as an entry-level leadership position.
• Provide direct patient care while managing staffing during shifts.
• Address departmental concerns and coordinate patient flow.
• Oversee employees while performing related work.
