Job summary

Edward Elmhurst Health in Arlington Heights, IL, seeks an Emergency Services Care Assistant/Unit Secretary for the Emergency Department to work nights, 7pm–7:30am, with every-other-weekend shifts. Per diem 1. Under RN supervision, you assist ED staff and perform clerical, stocking, and light patient care tasks.

Qualifications include CNA, EMT, Paramedic, nursing student with clinical hours, and current CPR certification. Competitive benefits and shift differentials may apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required
• CNA, EMT, Paramedic or nursing student with clinical hours as specified
• ED technician experience preferred (2+ years)
• Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association

Responsibilities

• Assist and support ED and treatment center nursing and medical staff under RN supervision
• Provide direct patient care and perform non-licensure procedures
• Assist in directing unit staff and handling clerical, stocking, and cleaning duties as needed
