Job summary

QQR Transport is seeking a Dispatch Night Operations Associate to join our on-site Cincinnati team. This full-time role oversees night shift dispatch, ensuring freight moves around the clock and service levels stay high.

You will drive load planning, driver coordination, and KPI monitoring while collaborating with peers to improve efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction across the fleet.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in transportation, dispatch, fleet management, or logistics operations
• Subject matter expert in dry van and open deck fleet management
• Strong understanding of trucking operations, dispatch workflows, and fleet management
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume environment
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and relationship-building abilities
• Proficiency with Transportation Management Systems (TMS), ELD platforms, GPS tracking, and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel)

Responsibilities

• Direct daily dispatch activities across the company fleet
• Plan loads, optimize routes, and maximize equipment utilization
• Monitor KPIs: on-time performance, miles, revenue per truck, detention, productivity
• Develop strategies to improve efficiency, profitability, and service levels
• Identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements
• Support driver productivity and retention through clear communication
• Oversee driver dispatch, scheduling, and load assignments
• Monitor driver performance and compliance
• Address driver concerns promptly
• Maintain relationships with customers, brokers, and partners
• Ensure compliance with DOT/FMCSA and safety policies
• Generate reports and dashboards for leadership
• Use data-driven decisions for profitability and capacity
• Assist budgeting and forecasting
