Job summary

Highland Hospital in Charleston, West Virginia, seeks an LPN Charge Nurse for nights in detox. You will oversee the assigned unit, supervise nursing staff, and provide direct patient care to assure optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities include care planning, monitoring safety, communicating with the medical team, and ensuring accurate med administration and documentation. Prior behavioral health exposure is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an approved Licensed Practical Nursing Program.
• Two or more years' nursing experience within clinical area of service provided by facility required.
• One or more years' experience in behavioral health/psychiatric/addiction recovery environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct and individualized nursing care to an assigned group of patients supervised by a registered professional nurse.
• Assists in planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care and care plans.
• Monitors patient acuity, census, staffing needs and coordinates coverage for appropriate staffing ratios.
• Communicates with medical staff and other departments to ensure total quality patient care.
• Prepares, administers, documents medications accurately with monitoring of effects.
