Job summary

Seneca Health Services seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse for a full-time position in Maxwelton, WV at a detox stabilization unit. You will assist with medication administration, patient assessments, and shift leadership under supervision from a RN or physician.

Responsibilities include delivering direct client care, documenting services, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to plan discharges. A WV LPN license, 1 year related experience, and valid driver's license are required; benefits

Qualifications

• Current West Virginia LPN licensure required.
• Minimum 1 year experience with mental illness, intellectual developmental disability and/or substance use disorder preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and vehicle required.
• Must pass a Criminal Background Check and Employment Fitness Determination through WVCARES and a drug screen.
• Demonstrated knowledge of basic computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct client care through established nursing techniques and methods.
• Implements physician orders including the administration of medication.
• Provides training and leadership to other staff, as needed, and serves as shift leader.
• Responsible for maintaining medication in a safe and secure manner.
• Assures all employee and client documentation is submitted in a timely and accurate manner.
• Interacts positively with clients and models appropriate socialization and communication skills.
• Serves as a liaison with medical providers, as needed.
• Participates in interdisciplinary team meetings, daily staffing and discharge planning.
• May assist in the evaluation of any admission to the facility.
• Serves as a medical resource for clients and staff.
• May provide on-call for nursing coverage/emergencies.
