Job summary

Quest Diagnostics in Tucker, GA is hiring a Cytopreparatory Technician I for a Monday to Friday night shift (10:00pm–6:30am). The role offers a pay range starting at $17.75 per hour, with potential shift differentials of 10% or 15% for certain hours.

Responsibilities include accessioning and processing Gyn specimens for microscopic evaluation, following safety policies, labeling waste, maintaining specimen integrity, and collaborating with teams.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required).
• Current state licensure, if applicable (Required).

Responsibilities

• Accessions and processes Gyn specimens for microscopic evaluation. This includes assigning accession numbers, and Thin Prep Processing.
• Follows all local, Business Unit, and corporate safety policies and assures compliance of the Cytology Prep Lab.
• Disposes and labels biohazard waste appropriately.
• Maintains specimen identification and integrity throughout all processes of the department.
• Must begin and complete all assignments with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to collaborate with other departments and colleagues for problem-solving.
• Must have great attention to details and the ability to remain calm in difficult situations.
• All other duties as assigned.
