Job summary

Quest Diagnostics in Pittsburgh, PA, is hiring a Cytoprep Technician III to work Tuesday through Saturday from 2:00 AM to 10:30 AM. You will accession and process Non-Gyn and Surepath specimens, run stainers, and prepare samples for CT/NG testing.

Responsibilities include maintaining inventories, training new staff, labeling biohazard waste, and collaborating across departments to resolve issues while strictly following safety and quality procedures.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required).
• Current state licensure, if applicable (Required).
• 3 years of Anatomic Pathology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accessions and processes Non-Gyn and Surepath specimens for microscopic evaluation.
• Prepare specimens for CT/NG testing.
• Maintain inventories and ensure supplies are ordered.
• Operate stainers, change reagents, and coverslip preparations.
• Train new Cytoprep techs in proper Cytopreparation techniques.
• Dispose and label biohazard waste appropriately.
• Collaborate with other departments to solve problems.
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality control logs.
