Saddle Creek Logistics Services in Knoxville, TN is hiring a Transportation/Distribution Supervisor to direct warehouse activities in an 80k sq ft cross-dock operation. You will supervise 20-25 hourly associates, align with client needs, and manage safety and performance metrics.

The role requires leadership, strong communication, and Lean/continuous improvement mindset, with cross-training across Transportation and related functions. Great team to foster growth.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a leadership role with change-management experience.
• Strong listening, collaboration and communication abilities.
• Proven problem-solving skills and decision-making under pressure.
• Organization, multi-tasking, and rail-to-lean process improvement
• High school diploma or GED; forklift certificate preferred

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise daily warehouse activities in a cross-dock operation.
• Lead 20-25 hourly associates to meet productivity and cost goals.
• Ensure KPI targets like order fill rate and inventory accuracy are met.
• Uphold safety standards and corporate safety goals.
• Coach, train, and evaluate staff; implement LEAN improvements.
• Coordinate with Transportation/Management; cross-train in related areas
• Maintain accurate WMS data and support inventory control
• Conduct annual performance reviews and provide feedback
