Job summary

Mental Health Cooperative, Inc. (MHC) in Nashville is seeking a Triage Counselor to join our Crisis Department.

This night-shift role requires delivering telephone counseling, triaging psychiatric emergencies, and routing calls to the appropriate team while maintaining strict confidentiality. You will work Sunday to Wednesday, 10:00pm–7:30am, provide follow-up, link clients to resources, document in our systems, and support staff through training and meetings as part of a collaborative,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a human service related field and one year mental health experience.
• Mental health professional with specialized training in crisis intervention.
• Valid Tennessee Driver’s License; clean MVR and background check.
• Personal Automobile Insurance

Responsibilities

• Provide telephone counseling to consumers and families in psychiatric emergencies.
• Assess for crisis response and route calls to appropriate team.
• Maintain accurate records and confidentiality.
• Link clients to community resources and enter data into systems.
• Assist in training new staff and participate in staff meetings.
