Job summary

Three Rivers Behavioral Health in West Columbia, SC, is seeking a Mental Health Technician to work with the clinical team and support patient care in a crisis-stabilization setting. The role requires flexibility to float to other units as needed, including acute inpatient, senior, and adolescent programs.

The MHT will assist nurses, monitor patient safety, and help maintain routines that promote therapeutic engagement.

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Psychology or related field preferred.
• Two years of healthcare or behavioral health experience can substitute for the degree.

Responsibilities

• Support clinical treatment by following the patient program schedule and treatment team plan.
• Maintain a safe, therapeutic milieu and document patient behavior.
• Record progress notes on incidents and patient conditions.
