Job summary

Tech9 is seeking a Crisis Intervention Specialist – Tier I to join the outpatient team in Mount Vernon, MO. This role provides 24/7 crisis response via phone and mobile outreach, with overnight hours from midnight to 8 a.m. and weekend coverage.

A Master’s degree in a behavioral health field and Missouri license are required, with QMHP eligibility highly valued. You will collaborate with hospitals, law enforcement, and clinics to ensure safe, person-centered care, and you may serve as a team

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling or related behavioral health field.
• Must hold a current professional license (e.g., LPC, LCSW, LMFT) in Missouri.
• QMHP qualification per Missouri state regulations.
• Trauma-informed care principles and crisis response protocols explained in role.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; empathetic approach.

Responsibilities

• Provide trauma-informed crisis intervention and prevention services in diverse settings (hospitals, jails, homes).
• Offer crisis counseling, case coordination, and pre-admission screening; assist with transportation and documentation.
• Collaborate with law enforcement and healthcare providers for coordinated care and safety.
• Maintain Crisis Resource Directory to support service delivery.
• Respond to crisis contacts via phone or walk-in inquiries; participate in on-call rotation.
