Price Rite of Hamden in Hamden, CT is seeking an Assistant Night Crew Chief to monitor pricing, stocking, facing and rotation of merchandise in the grocery area, ensuring a clean, well-stocked store and an attractive image. The role requires English literacy, basic math, ability to stand, bend, lift up to 60 lbs, and the ability to operate a Telxon and other equipment.

Qualifications

• The minimum required qualifications include reading, writing and speaking English.
• Basic math skills are required.
• Ability to understand and follow directions.
• Ability to stand for work.
• Ability to bend and reach.
• Ability to lift boxes up to 60 lbs.
• Ability to operate a Telxon.
• Ability to push/pull 4-wheel equipment loaded with product.

Responsibilities

• Observe store rules and company policies.
• Maintain neat, well-groomed appearance and follow dress code.
• Observe shift operating hours as scheduled or assigned by supervisor.
• Adhere to health and civil code regulations.
• Promote customer satisfaction with correctly priced items.
• Rotate products to ensure freshness and proper stock.
• Maintain proper shelf allocations for maximum sales.
• Follow sanitation schedules administered by night crew supervisor.
• Notify supervisor of product shortages.
• Take overstock to storage areas.
• Build product displays and organize backroom stock.
• Unload trucks as necessary.
• Operate the bailer and power equipment as required.
• Use the register for cash handling by night crew.
