Job summary

Price Rite of West Hartford is hiring a Night Crew Chief to oversee pricing, stocking, facing and rotation of merchandise in the grocery area. You will ensure the store presents an attractive image, while guiding clerks and maintaining policy compliance.

The role requires the ability to read and communicate in English, perform basic math, and lift up to 60 lbs. You will work night shifts with opportunities for ongoing training and benefits.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Ability to perform basic Math skills.
• Ability to understand and follow directions as given.
• Ability to do the job while standing.
• Ability to bend and reach.
• Ability to lift boxes up to 60 lbs.
• Ability to operate a Telxon.
• Ability to push/pull 4-wheel equipment loaded with product.

Responsibilities

• Observe store rules and company policies.
• Maintain a neat, well-groomed personal appearance and dress code.
• Observe shift operating hours as scheduled or assigned by supervisor
• Adhere to local, state and federal health and civil code regulations.
• Promote customer satisfaction by ensuring items are clearly priced and signed.
• Rotate products to ensure the freshest product is available.
• Maintain proper shelf allocations for maximum sales and profit.
• Follow cleaning and sanitation schedule.
• Remove trash to designated areas.
• Remove cardboard to bailer and operate bailer.
• Follow procedures to handle damaged and spoiled products.
• Notify supervisor of product shortages.
• Take overstock to storage areas.
• Build product displays.
• Organize and clean backroom stock.
• Unload trucks as necessary.
• Operate the bailer and power equipment.
• Use register for cash handling functions.
• Follow store security procedures.
• Maintain Food Safety Certification as required.
