Job summary

Recover-Care in the nursing center is seeking an Evening Shift Cook to support meals for patients and staff. You will follow menus and production sheets, prepare nourishments, desserts, salads and beverages, and assist with service and cleanup while maintaining safety and sanitation.

Ideal candidates have prior food service experience and familiarity with long-term care settings; good English communication is required; evening availability is essential.

Qualifications

• Must have good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to read and understand English for business necessity.
• Basic understanding of sanitation, organization and safety.
• Prior experience in food service preferred.
• Prior experience in long-term care preferred

• Prepare food as directed by the food service director
• Prepares and labels nourishments according to center procedures
• Prepares and portions desserts, salads and other non-entrée foods into dishes; pours beverages
• Follows production sheets and pre-preparation sheets or guidelines when appropriate

Job description

Performs a variety of tasks usually requiring cooking skills in the preparation, service, and clean up for meals served to patients and staff in the nursing center and other special events. Evening Shift : 2:30pm -7:00pm
