Job summary

Black & Veatch Construction, Inc. is seeking a Construction Manager for night shifts in Newnan, GA.

The role mobilizes to the site for the project duration, with strong emphasis on union coordination and CPM schedule adherence. Experience on combined cycle projects is strongly preferred; responsibilities include coordinating on-site subcontractors, managing safety, cost, and quality, and reporting to the Project Field Manager.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction, engineering, or related field preferred.
• 14+ years construction supervisory experience required, with at least 3 years of previous construction manager experience.
• OSHA Training
• All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search) in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Manages and coordinates all on-site subcontractor activities to align with the CPM schedule and project plan.
• Directs budget and schedule management; leads subcontractor recovery plans and punch list closeout.
• Supports client interface, material review, and equipment rental coordination; conducts weekly subcontractor meetings.
• Ensures safety, quality, and lessons learned are applied; mentors superintendents and prepares weekly status reports.
