Job summary

Rite of Passage seeks a Night Coach Counselor for The Alachua Academy in Gainesville, FL. You will provide safety, support and mentoring to youth, coordinating with staff to meet treatment goals in a residential setting.

Compensation is $19 per hour with 4 hours guaranteed overtime per pay period. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, company-paid life insurance, and a 401k match after 1 year, plus PTO and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Be able to pass a criminal background check, drug, TB test.
• Able to pass a search of the child and adult abuse central registry.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-person safety and security around the clock.
• Meet the physical, personal and health needs of youth through mentoring and skill development.
• Monitor and document behaviors and activities; participate in education, social, athletic and recreational activities.
• Collaborate with other staff to meet each youth's treatment goals.

Rite of Passage Team is hiring for a Night Coach Counselor at The Alachua Academy in Gainesville, Florida Alachua Academy is comprised of multiple co-located residential commitment programs serving moderate risk females youth aged 12 to 18 who require behavioral/mental health and substance abuse services. The programs utilize evidence-based practices to provide comprehensive care, treatment, and supervision. Youth will also receive psychotherapeutic services, including individual, family, and group counseling, while at the program. Come be apart the team and help us create lasting change in the lives of the youth we serve.

Pay: $19.00 per hour.

Schedule includes 4 hours of guaranteed overtime each pay period.

What you will do:

A Youth Care Worker (Night Coach Counselor) provides in-person safety and security around the clock. In this role, you will provide for the physical, personal and health needs of each youth through individual mentoring and skill development. Youth Care Workers provide an atmosphere that is supportive of the youth’s needs; monitor and document behaviors and activities; participate and assist with educational, social, athletic, and recreational activities. Youth Care Worker will collaborate with other professional staff to establish and meet the goals of each youth’s treatment plan.

To be considered, you should:

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• Be able to pass a criminal background check, drug, physical, and TB test
• Be able to pass a search of the child and adult abuse central registry

Schedule:

3.5 days per week, 12-hour shifts
