Job summary

The Alachua Academy in Gainesville, FL is hiring a Night Coach Counselor to provide in-person safety and care for youth aged 12 to 18 in residential programs. The role focuses on mentoring, meeting health and personal needs, and supporting treatment plans alongside a team of professionals.

Pay is $19.00 per hour with 4 hours guaranteed overtime per pay period. Schedule is 3.5 days per week with 12-hour shifts. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k) match, and PTO.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Able to pass a criminal background check, drug, physical, TB tests.
• Able to pass search of abuse registries.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24/7 in-person safety and care for youth.
• Meet physical, personal and health needs through mentoring and skill development.
• Monitor and document behaviors and activities; support educational, social, athletic and recreational activities.
• Collaborate with professional staff to meet each youth's treatment goals.

Night Coach Counselor at The Alachua Academy in Gainesville, Florida

Alachua Academy is comprised of multiple co-located residential commitment programs serving moderate risk females youth aged 12 to 18 who require behavioral/mental health and substance abuse services. The programs utilize evidence-based practices to provide comprehensive care, treatment, and supervision. Youth will also receive psychotherapeutic services, including individual, family, and group counseling, while at the program. Pay: $19.00 per hour. Schedule includes 4 hours of guaranteed overtime each pay period.

What you will do: A Youth Care Worker (Night Coach Counselor) provides in-person safety and security around the clock. In this role, you will provide for the physical, personal and health needs of each youth through individual mentoring and skill development. Youth Care Workers provide an atmosphere that is supportive of the youth’s needs; monitor and document behaviors and activities; participate and assist with educational, social, athletic, and recreational activities. Youth Care Worker will collaborate with other professional staff to establish and meet the goals of each youth's treatment plan.

To be considered, you should:

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• Be able to pass a criminal background check, drug, physical, and TB test
• Be able to pass a search of the child and adult abuse central registry.

Schedule: 3.5 days per week, 12-hour shifts
