Job summary

Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago in Naperville is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant for Almost Home Kids Naperville location. The full-time, 12-hour shifts provide care in a pediatric setting under the supervision of an RN.

The role includes vital signs, patient transport, daily care, and documentation, with emphasis on safety and compassionate patient-family interactions. CNA certification and BLS are required; pediatric experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Certification as a CNA required.
• Peds CNA experience strongly preferred.
• Must communicate effectively with children/families, physicians and staff.
• Bilingual ability preferred.
• Basic life-support certification required.

Responsibilities

• Plan daily care and activities with the RN.
• Take vital signs as directed by RN.
• Record weights and vital signs on flow sheets.
• Communicate concerns to the RN.
• Provide daily skin, hair, and oral care and assist with feeding.
• Transport children and assist with seating devices as delegated by RN.
