Job summary

UChicago Medicine Ingalls Memorial Hospital is seeking a Clinical Associate (CNA) for the Med Surg unit. This 100% onsite role supports patient care, meal assistance, and direct patient interactions located in the greater Chicagoland area.

Under supervision, you will perform assigned supportive tasks, apply infection control policies, and ensure patient comfort while adhering to unit Scope of Care. Prior acute care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) required.
• Active BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Completed Medical Terminology course; HS diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients and assist with meals; provide direct patient care.
• Perform hourly rounds and respond to patient needs.
• Assist with admissions: orientation, measurements, and room setup.
• Follow infection control policies and center scope of care.
• Collaborate with staff nurse to execute the plan of care.
