Job summary

UChicago Medicine Ingalls Memorial Hospital is seeking a Clinical Associate (CNA) for the Comprehensive Rehab unit. This 100% onsite role requires providing direct patient care, assisting with meals, and meeting personal and comfort needs while supporting admission processes.

Under the supervision of the Manager and Clinical Supervisor, you will perform assigned tasks, uphold patient comfort, ensure infection control, and advocate for patients and families in a fast-paced acute care setting in

Qualifications

• CNA certification is required.
• Active BLS certification from the American Heart Association is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Completed Medical Terminology Course is required.
• Past or current experience in an acute care hospital setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promotes the values and mission of Ingalls Memorial Hospital.
• Provides direct patient care and acts as a patient/family advocate.
• Provides comfort measures and assistance to patient and family.
• Performs hourly rounds on patients and assesses needs.
• Assists with admissions (room setup, patient orientation, basic vitals, and belongings).
• Adheres to infection control policies and unit Scope of Care.
