Job summary

Americare Senior Living is seeking a dedicated Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to provide safe, accurate medication administration and compassionate daily care to our residents. In this role, you’ll play a vital part in supporting residents’ health, comfort, and quality of life while helping maintain a warm, home-like environment.

Working under the supervision of licensed nursing staff, you’ll ensure medications are administered correctly, residents are monitored closely, and care is delivered

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) program that meets state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed medications under the supervision of licensed nursing staff.
• Verify resident identity prior to medication administration and document dosage, time, and observations.
• Monitor residents for medication responses and report adverse reactions or concerns promptly.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, meals, and mobility.
• Recognize and report changes in resident condition to charge staff.
• Maintain accurate documentation related to resident care, intake, and output as ordered.
• Assist with admission, discharge, and transfer documentation as required.
• Support team members by providing assistance as needed.
• Perform light housekeeping duties, including cleaning resident rooms and common areas.
• Answer phones, greet visitors, and assist with tours as requested.
