Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• BLS through AHA or Red Cross before hire; nursing students may have prior BLS.
• One year of recent, full-time patient care experience required.
• Clinical rotation may substitute for experience for nursing students.
• Military medical experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Provide or assist with patient care under RN supervision, e.g., vitals, weight, personal care, dressing changes, transfers, and monitoring devices.
• Assist with reporting abnormal findings to an RN and maintain room cleanliness.
• Support with phlebotomy, 12-lead ECGs, catheter care, and basic clinical skills as trained.

Skills

Math & Reading (8th grade level)

Education

High School Diploma or GED

BLS Certification (AHA/Red Cross)

One year of recent, full-time patient care experience

Nursing students with clinical rotation may substitute
