Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Clinical Lab Professional to join our team at Dell Children’s Medical Center in Austin, TX. The role offers Shift 3, 4x10 hours, Wednesday-Saturday, 9:00pm to 7:30am, in a high volume production lab environment.

You will perform routine and complex testing, monitor instrumentation, and ensure quality results to support patient care. The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in a chemical/biological science and at least 1 year of lab experience or an MLS degree; ASCP/AMT

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology.
• 1 year or more of clinical laboratory testing experience OR an MLS degree.
• ASCP or AMT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria.
• Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to SOPs.
• Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality.
• Demonstrate the ability to make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving.
• Report accurate and timely test results to deliver quality patient care.
• Maintain a safe work environment and wear PPE.
