Job summary

Orlando Health – Longwood Free Standing Emergency Department is seeking a Clinical Assistant Nurse Manager (CANM) to lead shift operations, ensure high-quality patient care, and optimize patient flow in a fast-paced emergency setting.

You will guide the nursing team, coordinate staff assignments, and work with leadership to improve outcomes while ensuring regulatory compliance and a patient-focused experience. Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred; active Florida RN license and BLS required.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred.
• Current RN license in Florida or NLC.
• Current BLS certification.
• Certifications in area of expertise preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead shift operations to ensure high-quality patient care and optimal patient flow.
• Coordinate staffing assignments for on-coming/off-going shifts based on acuity and team skills.
• Monitor patient status and assist with clinical operations to meet physician orders and policies.
• Support frontline staff and promote a collaborative, safe, and compliant work environment.
