Job summary

Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City seeks a Central Processing Technician to support sterile processing for patient care. You will decontaminate, inspect, and prepare surgical instruments and equipment, ensuring sterility and safety across MSK.

You will follow infection control policies, operate the instrument management system for tracking and tray assembly, and document tasks while maintaining a clean workspace. Shifts are 8 hours, overnight, on-site.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of key sterilization techniques and infection control policies.
• Experience with Hi-level disinfection equipment (e.g. AER, TEE Probe Reprocessor, GUS).
• Strong documentation and organized workspace maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and prepare instruments and patient care equipment for cleaning.
• Follow infection control hand-washing procedures with PPE.
• Use instrument management system to track and document instruments.
• Prioritize tray and instrument assembly to meet area needs.
• Document tasks manually as required.
