Job summary

Meridian Waste is seeking a Commercial Driver for our Powdersville/Greenville, SC operation. The role involves safely operating a collection truck, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and delivering prompt, courteous waste removal services.

The driver must follow route sheets, use the packer, and complete daily vehicle condition reports to address any defects. The position starts between 12:00 AM and 2:00 AM, is full-time with weekly overtime, and includes uniforms, safety boots, and

Qualifications

Class B CDL with air brakes endorsement.
Two years of prior experience driving heavy commercial trucks.
Excellent reading and writing skills.
Strong customer service and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Perform complete pre- and post-operation inspection of the vehicle.
Safely operate heavy truck along designated route and to the disposal site.
Operate controls to lift and load refuse and dispose of material at the facility.
Courteously interact with customers, dispatchers and others on a daily basis.
Identify unsatisfactory waste containers and tag containers.
Monitor waste for evidence of unacceptable waste.
Maintain vehicle condition reports and safety compliance.
