Job summary

Maersk in Linden, AL is seeking a Class A Driver to safely transport freight to customers and distribution centers. This CDL role covers pre/post-trip inspections, cargo securement, and accurate records, with a focus on professional customer service.

Shift Mon-Fri 9pm-5:30am; pay $29.00 per hour, bi-weekly. Qualified candidates will hold a valid CDL Class A, current DOT medical certificate, and be able to operate tractor-trailers in varying conditions.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class A license with acceptable driving record.
• Current DOT medical certificate.
• LTL/City driving experience preferred.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations, hours-of-service, and transportation compliance standards.
• Ability to operate tractor-trailers safely in varied conditions.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class A commercial motor vehicles, including tractor-trailers.
• Transport and deliver freight according to assigned routes and schedules.
• Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections.
• Secure, inspect, and protect cargo during transit.
• Follow DOT regulations and company policies.
• Maintain logs, delivery documents, and inspection reports.
• Communicate with dispatch regarding routes and delays.
• Maneuver vehicles at loading docks and customer locations.
• Report accidents or issues promptly.
• Assist with loading/unloading when required.
