US Foods in Norwich, CT is seeking a Yard Jockey with CDL to support logistics operations. The role focuses on moving, loading, and staging trailers, coordinating with dispatchers and mechanics to maintain smooth workflow.

The position offers an hourly base rate starting at $30.97 with overtime. Candidates must have a CDL Class A and meet FMCSA Clearinghouse requirements; six months' driving experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have CDL Class A with appropriate endorsements and DOT qualifications.
• Must register to the FMCSA Clearinghouse.
• Minimum six months commercial driving experience preferred.
• Ability to read and communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Dispatchers for assignments and work with mechanics on equipment needs.
• Couple and prepare equipment for nightly shuttle operations.
• Move, load, and unload trailers between buildings and environments.
• Stage trailers for backhaul and quick unloading.
• Attend required meetings and adapt to additional duties while maintaining a safe work environment.
• All other duties assigned by management.
