Job summary

Performance Food Group is seeking a Shuttle Driver in Columbus, OH to move trailers between yards and domicile locations, following DOT rules and safety checks. You’ll handle intrastate/interstate routes, communicate with customers, and work as part of the logistics team.

The role requires a CDL A with Doubles, a 21+ age minimum, and a clean MVR. Schedule is 3rd shift, Sunday–Thursday; benefits begin Day 1 and safety is emphasized in daily operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 12 months of commercial driving experience.
• Valid CDL A with Doubles Endorsement.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Meet all state licensing/certification requirements where applicable.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years.
• Work third shift, Sunday-Thursday nights (schedules may vary).
• Pass pre-employment drug test and road test.
• Valid DOT Health Card or able to secure one.

Responsibilities

• Perform safety checks (pre/post trip) for tractor/truck and trailer per DOT regulations.
• Inspect equipment and report safety issues or needed repairs.
• Follow DOT regulations and company safety guidelines; report hazards.
• Inspect trailer load for proper securing of freight.
• Ensure route paperwork is carried and available at dispatch.
• Drive and deliver trailers per the predetermined route schedule.
• Perform hook/unhook procedures safely.
• Park and store tractors/trailers in designated areas.
• Lock/secure all equipment and freight; manage damaged goods returns.
• Complete daily hours of service logs per regulations.
