Job summary

Performance Food Group is seeking a Shuttle Driver to transport empty trailers to warehouse locations and return with full trailers, delivering to domicile/shuttle yards. You will operate tandem, tractor, or straight trucks along intrastate and interstate routes while adhering to DOT regulations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent required.
• 12+ months commercial driving experience required.
• Valid CDL A with Doubles Endorsement required.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Meet all state licensing and/or certification requirements.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years.
• Work required 3rd shift schedule, Sunday-Thursday nights.
• Pass pre-employment drug test.
• Pass road test.
• Valid current DOT Health Card and/or able to secure new DOT Health Card.
• Able to hand-lift and utilize equipment to move freight of varying size and weight.

Responsibilities

• Performs safety checks (pre/post trip) according to DOT regulations.
• Reports safety issues and repairs.
• Follows DOT regulations and company safety policies.
• Inspects trailer for properly loaded and secured freight.
• Ensures route paperwork is with tractor trailer load.
• Drives and delivers trailers according to schedule.
• Performs hook/unhook procedures.
• Parks and stores tractor trailers.
