Job summary

You will work in a high‑volume program using advanced techniques and EPIC for documentation, with a night shift and full‑time schedule. Candidates must be licensed in Michigan and have 3+ years of critical care experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program with a Bachelor of Science including six to twelve months of clinical internship.
• Licensed to practice in the State of Michigan as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner.
• Current BCLS and ACLS certification.
• Must be credential for clinical privileges through Trinity Oakland AHP Credentials Committee and the Board of Trustees.

Responsibilities

• Maintains good rapport and cooperative relationships; approach conflicts constructively and participate in their resolution.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient, physicians, colleagues, and visitors; discuss information only among appropriate personnel.
• Adheres to Code of Conduct and Trinity Health policies; aligns with Mission, Vision, Values.
• Ensures safety and reports hazards; acts to protect self and coworkers.
• Provides patient care as a first‑line provider to critically ill patients in CCU in collaboration with cardiologists and intensivists.
• Participates in daily multidisciplinary rounds and coordinates orders, testing, and discharge planning.
• Prepares pre‑ and post‑operative orders with the attending cardiologist; manages post‑procedural care and complications.
• Manages cardiac devices in coordination with the care team; uses EPIC for documentation.
• Engages in continuing education and unit educational offerings; participates in hospital committees.
