Job summary

Sarah Bush Lincoln is seeking a Care Partner for the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) to cover 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM on a part-time basis. A CNA is required and supervision by an RN will guide direct patient care and charting.

Responsibilities include patient assistance, monitoring, and confidentiality in a safe, healing environment. The role involves direct and indirect care, EKGs, finger-stick glucose testing, and maintaining infection control standards.

Qualifications

• Active CNA in IL
• HS Diploma or equivalent
• BLS or CPR certification within 90 days of hire
• CNA or RN program - first semester completed

Responsibilities

• Provides assistance to staff and patients under RN supervision
• Performs charting to maintain accurate patient records
• Applies cardiac monitor per policy and physician orders
• Completes tasks aligned with infection control standards
• Documents and reports care delivered to patients
• Maintains patient safety with fall risk and skin risk precautions
• Promotes comfort via ambulation, turning, repositioning
• Assists with activities of daily living and basic clinical tasks
• Accompanies patients to ensure safety and wellbeing
• Supports compassionate, holistic care in a safe environment
