Job summary

Roseberry Care is seeking a caring, experienced Care Assistant to support residents at South Park, York YO24 3HX. The role covers day-to-day personal care, social activities and meals to promote independence and wellbeing.

You’ll join a warm, expanding team with 44-hour weekly nights, NVQ2 preferred, and a salary of £13.25 per hour. Training, development and career progression across 27 homes are on offer.

Qualifications

• NVQ2 in Adult Health and Social Care preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in care is desirable but not essential.
• Excellent communication, listening and empathy skills.
• Genuine passion for elderly care and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Assist with washing, dressing, grooming, toileting and continence care.
• Help with mobility and transfers.
• Offer companionship and a friendly presence.

Your Role

As a Care Assistant you will support our residents in their day to day lives including providing personal care, social activities, and meals times to promote independence and maximise your quality of life.

You’ll Be Responsible For

• Assist with washing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and continence care
• Help with mobility and transfers
• Offer companionship and a friendly presence
• Support mental and emotional well-being
• Observe and report changes in a client’s physical or emotional condition

What We’re Looking For
