Job summary

Belong is recruiting a Care Assistant for Belong Atherton, delivering person-centred care to residents during night shifts. You will join a supportive team and help with personal care, mealtimes and activities while recording care notes.

We provide a thorough induction, ongoing training, DBS check, pension scheme, and employee support programs to help you grow with our not-for-profit community.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in health & social care or Care Certificate.
• Experience in elderly care is preferred.
• Ability to work night shifts with empathy and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and companionship to residents.
• Assist with mealtimes, mobility and daily activities.
• Maintain dignity, privacy and high standards of care.
• Record accurate care notes and monitor wellbeing.

Pay: £13.45 p/h

Shifts: 10pm – 8am Nights

3 x 28.5 hours per week

We have an exciting opportunity for a Care Assistant to join our team in Belong Atherton.

About the Role:

As a care assistant, you will work together with other staff in the running of the household. You will aim to maintain high standards of care and service towards customers, relatives, visitors and other members of staff. You will be providing a range of personal and practical care to our residents.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate compassion, empathy and a person‑centred approach to caring for older people.
• Self‑motivated, resilient and well‑organised
• Able to work well under pressure and flexible to meet the needs of the residents and the household.
• Provide assistance, personal care, activities and companionship to residents
• Be alert to residents’ needs, health and wellbeing
• Respect the residents’ dignity and privacy
• Work with residents and their families to deliver tailored care to each individual
• Assist with mealtimes and safe moving
• Maintain accurate records for each resident

Skills and Experience:

• Excellent communication and written skills.
• Committed to providing a high standard of care, promoting dignity and respect.
• Previous experience working within an elderly care setting.
• Team player but able to work on your own initiative.
• Dependable, able to work well under pressure and flexible to meet the needs of the Home.
• A minimum of a NVQ level 2 in health & social care or the Care Certificate along with a dedicated passion for providing exceptional care for our night team roles.
