Job summary

DCM Inc. in Maryland is seeking a Lab Assistant to support daily laboratory production activities including distillation, extraction, infused concentrate formulation, and dispensing, under direction of the Assistant General Manager.

The role supports ethanol, butane and solventless extraction, potency and terpene testing with HPLC and GCMS, and assists with edible base formulation and packaging tasks in a fast-paced greenhouse environment. Must be 21+, background check required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Pass a Federal and State criminal history background check.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer skills.
• General lab experience preferred.
• Pipetting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Daily product preparation including preparing equipment and plant materials for extraction.
• Monitor equipment, perform minor repairs and report irregularities.
• Operate lab machinery per safety and operating guidelines.
• Assist with ethanol, butane and solventless extraction.
• Assist with potency and terpene testing using HPLC and GCMS.
• Assist with infused concentrate and edible base formulation and dispensing.
• Perform weighing, liquid handling and pipetting tasks.
• Maintain laboratory and glassware, and clean equipment.
• Support packaging process including verifying weight, defects, labeling, and case packing.
