Job summary

Green Thumb in the United States (Maryland) seeks a Lab Technician to support cannabis production, including distillation, extraction, winterization, and production of cannabis infused products. The role emphasizes adherence to SOPs, regulatory compliance, and safety in a regulated environment.

The ideal candidate has relevant lab experience, understands regulatory requirements, and can operate with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Associate or 4-year degree in biology, chemistry, or physics preferred.
• Prior production lab/manufacturing experience preferred.
• Prior experience in regulated environments preferred.
• Familiarity with OSHA guidelines for hazardous chemicals.
• Able to work independently or in teams with good judgement and resourcefulness.

Responsibilities

• Prepare lab equipment and cannabis plant material for extraction.
• Operate extraction equipment following Green Thumb SOPs.
• Process cannabis concentrates and extracts.
• Meet production goals with safety and quality focus.
• Produce products per recipes and SOPs, maintaining high quality.
• Clean and maintain extraction equipment and lab facilities.
• Store supplies, dispose of waste per guidelines, and keep areas sanitary.
• Wash and sterilize laboratory glassware.
• Monitor production line and collect samples for analysis.
• Record data in lab notebooks, databases, and test reports.
• Follow Good Laboratory Practices and Good Manufacturing Practices.
