Job summary

Nexus Family Healing is hiring a Behavioral Health Practitioner for the 3rd shift at our youth crisis and stabilization center in Minneapolis. The role supports therapeutic plans, supervises resident activities, and collaborates with the team to ensure a safe, positive environment for youth with complex mental health needs.

Requirements include 21+ years old, valid driver's license, DHS background check, and completion of Therapeutic Crisis Intervention.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age.
• Valid driver's license. Must meet state regulations and Nexus requirements.
• Ability to build relationships with diverse individuals and communities.
• Open to meeting cultural needs, considering language, traditions and values.
• Complete Therapeutic Crisis Intervention exam and training.
• Pass DHS background check.

Responsibilities

• Support and reinforce the therapeutic plan of residents by guiding daily living activities.
• Mentor and supervise resident daily activities and behavior per guidelines.
• Collaborate with coworkers on treatment plans and services.
• Monitor client phases, privileges, restrictions; adapt interactions accordingly.
• Ensure resident safety and maintain a positive, respectful, therapeutic environment.
• Engage with families/support networks to reinforce positive partnerships; follow family engagement protocols.
• Plan and participate in off-campus activities and assist in transporting clients to home visits or appointments.
