Job summary

Nexus Family Healing in Minneapolis, MN is hiring a Temporary Relief Behavioral Health Practitioner to join our youth crisis and stabilization center in Hennepin County. You will support residents with daily living activities and treatment plans in a 13-bed, short-term residential setting.

This role requires flexible shift coverage (7:00–5:30, 2:00–12:30, 10:00–8:30) and a pay rate of $22–$24 per hour, with benefits such as PTO, 401k match, and Talkspace therapy for families.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license required and must meet Nexus driving requirements.
• Ability to build relationships with diverse individuals and cultures.
• Complete Therapeutic Crisis Intervention exam and training.
• Pass DHS background check.

Responsibilities

• Support and reinforce residents' therapeutic plans and daily living activities.
• Mentor and supervise resident daily activities and behavior per guidelines.
• Collaborate with coworkers on treatment plans and services.
• Monitor client phases, privileges, restrictions, and adapt interactions accordingly.
• Ensure resident safety and maintain a positive, respectful, therapeutic environment.
• Engage with families to reinforce positive partnerships and follow protocols.
• Assist in transporting clients to home visits and appointments.
