Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking a Hospital Bed Board Coordinator (Part Time) for the Night shift in Los Angeles. The role oversees bed availability across the hospital, coordinating admissions, transfers, and discharges to maintain efficient patient flow.

Responsibilities include real-time bed status communication with ER staff, care managers, and inpatient teams. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, BLS certification or ability to obtain, and at least 1 year of acute care or related

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from American Heart Association or ability to obtain within 90 days.
• One year or more of experience in acute care or related health care setting or strong customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Regulate bed availability hospital-wide.
• Monitor admissions, transfers and discharges in real time to support throughput and patient flow.
• Communicate with ER staff, care managers, and nurses regarding bed status and patient flow.
• Review admission orders for accuracy and bed availability considerations.
• Complete daily census reconciliation and notify relevant staff of bed delays.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to policies while supporting performance improvement initiatives.
