The Hampton Inn in Asheville, NC is seeking a full-time Night Auditor with a built-in schedule split between front desk duties and after-hours security. Two nights per week you’ll close out books at the desk, and two nights you’ll patrol the property to keep guests safe until morning.

Starting pay is $17.00 per hour with full benefits. You’ll work independently, balance cash, run nightly reports, and coordinate handoffs between shifts to ensure a smooth overnight operation.

Qualifications

• Dependable, calm under pressure and able to work independently overnight.
• Hotel/front desk or night audit experience preferred; security experience is a plus.
• Basic accounting and cash handling experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Night Audit Nights: check in guests, process payments, and reconcile daily books.
• Security Nights: patrol the property, maintain a visible presence, and handle incidents.
• Run and verify nightly reports and balance cash drawers.
• Coordinate handoffs between shifts to ensure smooth overnight operations.

About the Role

This full-time overnight position has a built-in schedule split. Two nights a week you are running the front desk and closing out the books as our Night Auditor. The other two nights you are on Security, walking the property, keeping guests safe, and making sure everything is secure until morning. You will build two in-demand skill sets, work independently, and be the person who keeps this hotel running after hours. Starting at $17.00 per hour with full benefits.

Night Audit Nights (2 nights per week):

• Check in arriving guests and handle overnight front desk requests


• Process payments and resolve any billing questions


• Complete end of day reporting and account reconciliation


• Run and verify daily reports and flag any discrepancies


• Count and balance the cash drawer at the start and end of your shift


• Occasionally drive the hotel shuttle to transport guests to and from the airport


• Set the morning shift up for a smooth start

Security Nights (2 nights per week):

• Patrol the interior and exterior of the property including parking lots, hallways, and entrances


• Maintain a visible, professional presence throughout the hotel


• Respond to guest concerns, disturbances, and emergencies calmly and promptly


• Use good judgment and de-escalation when handling difficult situations


• Monitor security cameras and report any safety or equipment concerns


• Complete accurate incident and shift reports


• Occasionally drive the hotel shuttle to transport guests to and from the airport

What We’re Looking For:

• Dependable, calm under pressure, and comfortable working independently overnight


• Hotel, front desk, or night audit experience preferred (security experience is a plus)


• Basic accounting and cash handling experience preferred


• Strong attention to detail, especially with numbers


• Clear communicator with guests and teammates


• Available full-time including weekends and holidays


• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record required
