Job summary

The Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton Virginia Beach Town Center is seeking a dedicated Night Auditor to manage overnight front desk operations and complete the nightly audit. You will balance transactions, prepare reports, and ensure the property is ready for the morning team.

Open availability is required, including weekends and holidays. Previous front desk or night audit experience is preferred, with strong numerical and accounting aptitude.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Previous front desk or night audit experience preferred.
• Hilton PEP experience preferred.
• Comfortable with numbers, reconciliation, and basic accounting tasks; strong attention to detail.
• Able to communicate in English, verbal and written.
• Open availability to work overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Able to stand for extended periods during a shift.

Responsibilities

• Completes the nightly audit: posts room and tax charges, reconciles daily transactions, and runs the end-of-day process.
• Balances all department revenue, credit card batches, and cash; identifies and resolves or flags discrepancies.
• Prepares and distributes daily reports (occupancy, revenue, and manager reports) for the leadership team.
• Handles front desk operations overnight, including check-in, check-out, reservations, and guest requests.
• Serves as the overnight point of contact; follows all safety, security, and emergency procedures to protect guests, team members, and property.
• Processes payments accurately, manages cash and credit transactions, and maintains a balanced shift bank.
