The Night Auditor is responsible for ensuring seamless operations during the overnight shift at the front desk. This role combines guest service with accounting responsibilities, requiring attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently. The Night Auditor will provide exemplary service while managing financial transactions and completing nightly aud i ts. This role requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment 24/7, requiring flexibility and adaptability to changing business demands.

Key Responsibilities:

• Guest Services: Serve guests at the front desk by providing the highest level of service in a courteous, professional, and efficient manner.
• Guest Engagement : Interact with guests to promote a friendly atmosphere, encouraging feedback and building rapport to enhance the overall experience
• Policy Adherence: Handle all duties according to hotel policies, procedures, and internal standards to ensure compliance.
• Operational Knowledge: Stay informed about daily hotel operations by checking the daily event sheet and bulletin boards; maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes, new procedures, and events.
• Rate and Promotion Awareness: Have comprehensive knowledge of room rates, packages, discounts, and promotions, and know how to effectively communicate this information to guests.
• Room Knowledge: Be familiar with guest room locations, amenities, features, and all services offered by the hotel to assist guests efficiently.
• Cash Handling: Follow established cash handling and banking procedures to ensure accurate and efficient guest check-outs. (if applicable)
• Registration and Assignments: Perform guest registration, room assignments, and accommodate special requests to enhance guest satisfaction.
• Telephone Etiquette: Answer phones promptly and professionally, adhering to proper etiquette standards (within three rings), and manage safe deposit box inquiries.
• Daily Checklists: Be familiar with and complete the AM, PM, and nightly checklists to ensure smooth operation of the front desk.
• Night Audit Transactions: Balance night audit transactions and prepare daily sales journal information, ensuring all financial records are accurate.
• Reconciliation: Reconcile cash deposits from the front desk and outlets on a daily basis, resolving discrepancies as necessary.
