Job summary

Hotel Saint Augustine in Houston's Montrose district seeks a part-time Night Auditor to join our guest-centered team. You will ensure the same warm service overnight as during the day, balancing transactions and generating reports in our Property Management System.

You will assist guests with a friendly, professional approach while upholding brand standards and supporting overnight operations. Prior accounting exposure and strong communication are valued.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required; college degree preferred.
• Six months of related hospitality or service experience with accounting exposure.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and procedures manuals.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees or guests.
• Ability to create documents in Excel and Word.
• Ability to understand other computer programs (e.g., Property Management System).
• Math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and algebra using whole numbers.

Responsibilities

• Complete all shift checklists and prepare night audit sections.
• Generate accurate accounting reports within the Property Management System.
• Balance shift banks and verify cash, card, and room charges across shifts.
• Maintain accuracy in accounting and billing procedures.
• Greet and assist guests during their stay with courtesy and professionalism.
• Disseminate nightly audit packs to recipients and ensure reports are error-free.
• Check guests in/out in a confident, professional manner and make reservations as needed.
• Answer calls courteously and provide information about services and local attractions.
• Escalate guest concerns to the supervisor and assist with corrective actions as needed.
• Log discrepancies or security issues and participate in resolution.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting front desk area and follow safety procedures.
• Attend relevant meetings and support overnight scheduling, including weekends and holidays.
