Job summary

Austin Proper Hotel and Residences is seeking a dedicated Night Auditor to support the front office during overnight shifts. You will audit, balance, and reconcile the day’s financial transactions while delivering exceptional guest service in a quiet, late-night environment.

Key duties include nightly audits, guest billing, and coordinating with other departments to ensure smooth overnight operations. Prior hotel experience and PMS familiarity are highly valued at Proper Hospitality.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous hotel or customer service experience preferred.
• Experience with hotel property management systems (InforHMS, Opera) is a plus.
• Previous night audit or accounting experience is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform the nightly audit, balance and post transactions to the hotel systems.
• Reconcile guest accounts and review room charges, payments, and incidentals.
• Provide front desk services during night shifts (check-ins/outs) and answer guest inquiries.
• Process payments and prepare invoices in accordance with hotel policies.
• Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, and security for overnight issues and document significant events.
