Job summary

The Night Auditor at Hampton Inn Columbia, operated by Shaner Hotels, balances daily revenue and expenses and performs front desk duties during the audit shift. The Night Auditor will possess good communications and guest service skills and have the ability to take appropriate action to meet and exceed guest expectations.

We are seeking energetic, service-driven individuals with a high school diploma and hospitality or customer service experience.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Minimum one year customer service experience; previous hotel experience preferred.
• Ability to satisfactorily communicate with guests, management, and co-workers to their understanding.
• Computer experience preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
• Knowledge of local activities and attractions appropriate for clientele.

Responsibilities

• Be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and overnight hours.
• Process all check-ins and check-outs according to established hotel requirements.
• Adhere to payment, cash handling and credit policies/procedures.
• Generate, print, and distribute daily reports to designated departments/personnel.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Handle guest complaints ensuring guest satisfaction.
• Attend to the needs of guests, balance revenue and expenses, and perform front desk duties during audit shift.
